Kristina Smith, CDP (Certified Diversity Professional)

Kristina (pronouns: she, her, hers) is passionate about creating learning communities at work.  When people learn from one another across differences, the levels of engagement, employee satisfaction, and productivity are increased significantly.  
Kristina is a life time leaner and a professed “book-a-holic”.  She thoroughly enjoys reading about how to help people communicate better.  She is certified in Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ) which is the neuroscience of conversations.  
While her undergraduate work at Emerson College is in the field of Communication Disorders, the bulk of her career was influenced by her graduate studies at Johns Hopkins University.  There she studied Organization Development with an emphasis on How to Manage Change in Organizations.  In a national telecommunications company she served as a trainer, training supervisor, training manager, and finally director of training.  She eventually left and began her own business as a training consultant, coach, and certified diversity professional.
Kristina has worked with government agencies, for-profit, and non-profit organizations.  Her forte is coaching leaders, helping teams work better together, and facilitating conversations about race/diversity.
She sits on the Board of Directors of Emerge, Inc – a program that serves people with disabilities and the Alumni Board of Emerson College.

Kristina also runs a weekly online program for seniors 55+ years and older who are “aging gracefully”.
